The Audi Group has just announced a record-breaking year, ending 2022 with an operating result of almost 40% growth to a historically high level and a revenue increase of 16.4% to a new record of €8.3 billion. This achievement can be attributed to consistent crisis management, good price positioning, and strong results from the Bentley, Lamborghini, and Ducati brands. In addition, the Audi brand delivered 1,614,231 cars to customers, and the number of deliveries of fully electric models increased by 44% in 2022.
Audi's success can also be attributed to its focus on sustainability, as CEO Markus Duesmann explains: "At Audi, we are fully focused on sustainability, and we systematically promote the digitization and electrification of our products." This focus on sustainability is reflected in the company's strategy, "Vorsprung 2030", which aims to make Audi the leading provider of connected and fully electric premium mobility.
Audi's electric car range is rapidly expanding, with the launch of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), developed in collaboration with Porsche, being a significant component in expanding the global range of electrically powered Audi models. The future model range Audi Q6 e-tron, the group's first series-produced model based on PPE, will be presented in the second half of 2023.
