Audi is known for its innovative and cutting-edge technology, especially when it comes to the infotainment system. The Audi MIB 3 platform, which debuted in 2020, offers a host of new features and functions that enhance the driving experience and the connection with the digital world. For the 2022 model year, Audi is adding more functionality to the platform by introducing Audi Themes and the Audi App Store. These two new features allow customers to personalize and customize their infotainment system with various themes, images, ambient lighting, and third-party apps.
What are Audi Themes?
Audi Themes is a new feature that enables customers to choose from a variety of themes that change the appearance and mood of the infotainment system. Each theme consists of a wallpaper, an icon set, and an ambient lighting color that matches the theme’s name and style. For example, the Sport theme features a red wallpaper with a dynamic Audi Sport logo, sporty icons, and red ambient lighting. The Nature theme features a green wallpaper with forest scenery, organic icons, and green ambient lighting. The Urban theme features a blue wallpaper with a city skyline, modern icons, and blue ambient lighting.
Customers can access the Audi Themes feature through the Settings menu in the Multimedia Interface (MMI). They can browse through the available themes and select the one they like. They can also create their own custom theme by choosing a wallpaper, an icon set, and an ambient lighting color from the options provided. The selected theme will be applied to the infotainment system, including the central touchscreen, the digital instrument cluster, and the head-up display.
Audi Themes is a brand new functionality that has been added to the MMI on selected Audi models, such as the Audi Q3, Q5, Q7, Q8, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, e-tron, e-tron Sportback, and Audi e-tron GT. Audi Themes are designed to offer customers more choice and flexibility in personalizing their infotainment system and creating a unique and enjoyable atmosphere in their vehicles.
