The three-day "International Off-road Fair" in Versilia, Italy, featured exciting test drives of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, Jeep Compass 4xe, and the Jeep Renegade 4xe, the most decorated SUV range in history, as well as the Plug-In Hybrid version of each vehicle, as well as the spectacular Jeep Truck. Over 25,000 people, including industry executives and off-road fans, attended the event, which took place in Viareggio from September 30 to October 2.
Thanks to the incredible Jeep Truck, people could experience the capabilities of the most award-winning SUV line ever. In particular, this is an articulated truck that transforms into a 1200 sq. m. Jeep exhibition space, complete with two LED walls, a WallBox to recharge Jeep 4xe SUVs, and a 9-meter-high deck equipped with a 45° sloping platform. Thanks to the Jeep instructors, about five hundred and fifty fans could feel the thrill of off-road driving and take part in tests, all while learning to appreciate the legendary toughness that has set Jeep apart for more than eighty years. Jeep is now becoming more environmentally friendly with the help of 4xe plug-in hybrid technology.
Jeep's new 4x4 is designated by the subbrand 4xe, which reflects the development of the concept of capabilities with the addition of eco-friendliness, efficiency, and increased safety and driving enjoyment. Both the Italian-made Jeep Compass and Jeep Renegade SUVs are fitted with 4xe plug-in hybrid technology, marking the beginning of the brand's journey towards sustainable mobility thanks to "zero emissions" when operating in electric mode and all-terrain safety of traction. Both of these Jeep Wrangler 4x4s have electronic all-wheel drive. The brand's flagship vehicle now can travel with four-wheel drive in fully electric mode, generating a maximum of 380 hp combined and 637 Nm of torque, taking off-road performance to new heights while maintaining its signature qualities.
As a result, the Italian market has shown its appreciation for a Jeep SUV that is true to the brand while also assuring zero-emission off-road and urban performance. The Jeep brand is at the forefront of the innovative market, which encompasses BEVs and PHEVs. The greatest approach to start along the road to "Zero emission freedom," the brand's aim to ensure freedom with zero emissions, is to have a successful first, second, and third quarter in 2022, just as you did in 2021.
Jeep has already unveiled a detailed plan for the next generation of entirely electric 4xe vehicles as part of its strategy to become the world's premier electrified SUV brand. Four all-electric SUVs equipped with 4xe technology are expected to hit the market in North America and Europe by the year 2025.
By 2030, fully electric cars will account for 50% of Jeep brand sales in the United States, and by the same year, European sales will account for 100% of Jeep brand sales. By that time, all vehicle sales in Europe will be fully electric vehicles, in line with a goal established by Stellantis of zero net carbon dioxide emissions. Stellantis has stated that by 2025 all of its European sales will be of entirely electric vehicles, and this plan is designed to help the company meet that goal. Stellantis has set aggressive goals for reducing carbon dioxide emissions to zero by 2030 as part of its comprehensive strategic plan.
