Subaru Solterra electric SUV gets five stars from Euro NCAP

Subaru Europe, a division of Subaru Corporation, has excitedly announced that the European-specified version of the all-new Subaru Solterra electric SUV has been awarded the highest possible five stars in the 2022 Euro NCAP. Solterra's test results (adult passenger, child passenger, vulnerable road users, safety aide) were higher than the baseline.

According to the most recent iteration of the test standards, the all-new, all-electric Subaru Solterra received the highest score ever attained by a Subaru vehicle in Safety Assist in the Small Off-Road class. Onboard passenger monitoring on the Solterra received top grades (including driver monitoring and seat belt reminder). The Solterra did exceptionally well in Emergency Lane Keep Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Human Machine Interface. It also received a very high score for AEB car-to-car (pre-collision system). It was found that the AEB technology was compatible with most vehicles.

There is a standard seat belt reminder system in the new Subaru Solterra electric SUV that works for both the front and rear seats, and there is also a device that can detect driver drowsiness. When the car begins to veer out of its lane, the lane recognition system (also known as Lane Tracing Assist) gently guides it back into the correct path. It can even take over completely in emergency scenarios. The Traffic-sign recognition in a speed assistance system reads posted speed limits and allows the driver to manually limit their maximum speed or let the system do it for them.

The brand new Subaru Solterra electric car scored highest in the assessment domain's rescue and investigation for adult passengers. It fared exceptionally well even in the event of a rear or side impact.

Although the cabin did not move during the frontal crash test, the dummy measurements indicated adequate protection for the driver's and passenger's knees and femurs. It was determined that there was satisfactory management of wander (the degree to which the body is thrown to the opposite side of the vehicle when hit from the opposite side). Solterra has a defense against these kinds of effects that lessens the harm done to people. The system provided enough protection for test subjects' heads, as conducted by Euro NCAP. The front seats and head restraints were found to be effective in preventing whiplash in the case of a rear-end collision. The back seats offer adequate protection from whiplash, according to geometric analysis. There is a state-of-the-art eCall system set up, which notifies the authorities of an accident, and another set up which

Using data from frontal and side impacts with children aged 6 and 10, the all-new Solterra received the highest possible rating for Crash Test Performance.

All essential body parts were either entirely or mostly shielded from harm in the frontal and side impact tests, earning full marks for this category. Also, the front passenger airbag can be disabled to accommodate a rear-facing child safety seat. Solterra can be installed and adjusted for use with any child restraint system.

The brand-new Subaru Solterra electric car scored exceptionally well in the AEB Cyclist assessment area for vulnerable road users.

The bumper's yielding zones were well-placed, so walkers' legs were adequately protected, and the head protection was generally reasonable or adequate. The AEB system demonstrated its responsiveness to both pedestrians and other vehicles. In testing measuring the system's reaction to pedestrians and cyclists, it fared admirably, avoiding crashes in most cases.
