The Nissan Juke, one of the most popular small SUVs in the market, has received a major update for 2024. The new model features a larger infotainment screen, a new sporty trim level, and a striking yellow color option. The 2024 Juke is already in production at the Nissan Sunderland Plant in the UK, where it supports thousands of jobs and contributes to the local economy.
The Return of the Yellow Juke
One of the most noticeable changes in the 2024 Nissan Juke is the reintroduction of the yellow paint option, which was discontinued several years ago. According to Nissan, many customers have been asking for the yellow Juke to come back, as it gives the car a distinctive and eye-catching look.
The new yellow shade is slightly paler than the previous one, and it can be combined with a black roof, pillars, wheels, door mirrors, wheel-arch inserts, and grille. This contrast creates a dynamic and sporty appearance, which the new N-Sport trim level enhances.
The N-Sport Trim Level
The N-Sport is the new range-topping trim level for the 2024 Juke, and it adds many features that make the car stand out from the crowd. The exterior of the N-Sport is characterized by the black accents mentioned above, as well as new five-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels.
The interior of the N-Sport is also upgraded with yellow stitching, dashboard trim, and recycled Alcantara inserts. The seats have Juke emblems embossed on them, and the leather-style material on the steering wheel is smoother to the touch. The N-Sport also comes with a wireless charging pad, USB-A and USB-C outlets for all passengers, and an electric handbrake.
The Larger Infotainment Screen
Another highlight of the 2024 Nissan Juke is the new 12.3-inch infotainment screen, which is standard on all models. The screen is positioned at the top of the dashboard, and it is angled more towards the driver for better usability. The screen has a high-resolution display and supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It can also play videos from a USB device when the car is parked.
The infotainment system has an improved voice recognition system, which can understand natural language and handle hesitant speech. The system also has movable widgets, which allow users to access frequently used functions more quickly.
The 2024 Juke also offers a 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument cluster, which is available on N-Connecta models and above. The cluster can switch between two main layouts: one with two dials and one with a 3D-effect view. The latter can show a sat-nav map and other information alongside the speed and fuel indicators. The settings for the cluster can be controlled from the steering wheel.
The Same Powertrain Options
The 2024 Nissan Juke does not bring any changes to the powertrain options, which remain the same as before. The Juke is available with two choices: a turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine and a hybrid system.
The gasoline engine produces 115 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque, and it can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The hybrid system combines a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, a high-voltage starter generator, and a 1.2 kWh battery pack. The hybrid system delivers a total of 141 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque, and it is mated to a multi-mode automatic transmission.
Both powertrain options are front-wheel drive only, and they offer good fuel efficiency and low emissions. The gasoline engine has a combined fuel economy of 42 mpg and a CO2 emission of 121 g/km, while the hybrid system has a combined fuel economy of 53 mpg and a CO2 emission of 99 g/km.
