The French automaker Peugeot has recently launched a new self-charging hybrid powertrain that will debut in its 3008 and 5008 models before being rolled out across other models in the Peugeot range. The new powertrain, dubbed HYBRID 136 e-DSC6, combines 48V technology with an updated version of the 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine, as well as a new six-speed electrified dual-clutch transmission and an 898Wh battery.
