Skoda has unveiled the all-new Enyaq Coupe iV electric car in Prague. The sporty coupe design appeals to emotions, while the spaciousness appeals to reason. In addition, the design helps to give the Enyaq Coupe iV class the lowest air resistance, which is exchanged for the toughest currency among electric cars: long-range. The top model is the sports car RS, which for the first time is 100 percent electric. At the end of March, it will be possible to pre-order Skoda's new electric car.
Like the Enyaq iV, the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV is built on the MEB platform, developed exclusively for electric cars. Enyaq Coupe iV is 4,653 mm long, 1,879 mm wide, and 1,622 mm high and is thus 4 mm longer and 1 mm higher than Enyaq iV. However, the wheelbase is the same - 2,765 mm - and the trunk holds a full 570 liters, which is only 15 liters less than the Enyaq iV despite the beautiful coupe design.
The coupe design helps to give the Enyaq Coupe iV class the lowest air resistance with an air resistance coefficient of 0.234 Cw. In addition, the Enyaq Coupe iV excels, i.a., by having a panoramic glass roof as standard. The panoramic glass roof extends the entire length of the top and is elegantly integrated with the rear window. It is the largest in Skoda's model program and helps to enhance the experience of a bright and spacious cabin.
Enyaq Coupe iV is available with full LED Matrix headlights, where 24 LED bulbs in each headlight constantly adapt the light to the driving conditions, so the driver can drive with a high beam all the time without dazzling others in traffic.
On the other hand, fellow road users will definitely notice the Enyaq Coupe iV when equipped with the Crystal Face, where 131 LED bulbs make the Skoda-characteristic vertical ribs on the front light up.
Both full LED Matrix headlights and Crystal Face are standard equipment on the Enyaq Coupe iV RS, which also has black 20" Taurus alloy wheels and black design details. And if it is dressed in the eye-catching Mamba Green paint, which is exclusive to Enyaq Coupe iV, there is no doubt at all that this is an exceptional electric car from Skoda!
The new Enyaq Coupe iV RS is available with two Design Selections exclusive to the car. As standard, it has the Design Selection RS Lounge with carbon-fiber-look panels and seats and an instrument panel lined with black Suedia microfiber with lime-green contrast stitching. In addition, lime green edges on the seats. However, if you choose the Design Selection RS Suite, the seats are upholstered in black, perforated leather with gray contrast stitching and edges, just as the dashboard has a matching leather look.
For the other Enyaq Coupe iV models, you can choose between five Design Selections, several of which focus on natural materials and recycling. Thus, Design Selection Lodge has seats and instrument panels lined with fabric, consisting of 40 percent pure wool and 60 percent polyester.
The Enyaq Coupe iV RS is the most robust and fastest electric car from Skoda. Two electric motors provide a total of 299 hp (220 kW) and 460 Nm and make it accelerate from 0-100 km / h. in 6.5 seconds, and the top speed is 180 km / h. The Enyaq Coupe iV RS has a battery of 82 kWh (net 77 kWh) and four-wheel drive.
Enyaq Coupe iV 80x also has two electric motors / four-wheel drive and a battery of 82 kWh, but here the total output is 265 hp / 425 Nm.
If you want the longest possible range, you must choose Enyaq Coupe iV 80, which also has a battery of 82 kWh, but only one electric motor with 204 hp (150 kW) / 310 Nm. Therefore, the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV can run over 500 km (WLTP) on one charge.
Last but not least, there is also a SkodaEnyaq Coupe iV 60 with a battery of 62 kWh (net 58 kWh) and an electric motor of 179 hp (132 kW) / 310 Nm. The new Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV 60 and 80 can pull 1,000 kg.
All Enyaq Coupe iV electric cars can charge with 11 kW AC with a charging box, Enyaq Coupe iV 60 can charge up to 120 kW DC, while the models with the battery of 82 kWh can charge with up to 135 kW. Then a charge from 10 to 80 percent takes about 29 minutes.
Euro NCAP recently named the Enyaq iV the safest car in its class in 2021. Thus, you can also safely choose the Enyaq Coupe iV, which is available with several innovative assistance systems. Among other things, Enyaq Coupe iV can be equipped with a head-up display with augmented reality (AR), where information is projected to two different areas in the windscreen. Information such as speed and recognition of traffic signs are displayed just above the instrument panel. In contrast, e.g., the navigation system's arrow display is projected a level higher, so you get an experience of seeing the arrows on the road in front of you.
The Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV can also be equipped with Collision Avoidance Assist, which detects if you are colliding with a pedestrian, cyclist, or other car and increases the steering wheel angle. Another system is Turn Assist, which warns and ultimately brakes the Enyaq Coupe iV if traffic comes from the front or rear when turning left.
Travel Assist consists of Adaptive Lane Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist, and Predictive Cruise Control. The latter uses images from the camera in the windshield and data from the navigation system to keep an eye on turns and speed limits and adjust the speed in advance. Ultimately, Travel Assist can take control and help the driver safely through narrow passages in the city.
The cabin screen of up to 13 inches is the focal point for all communication and interaction with Enyaq Coupe iV. It can be operated via touch on the screen, a touch slider, hand gestures in front of the screen, or talking to the digital assistant, Laura, who understands 15 languages. In addition, many functions - and the digital cockpit - can be operated via the multifunction steering wheel.
Skoda's new electric car is always online via built-in eSIM, so you can control charging and temperature in the cabin via its smartphone, just as the electric vehicle can receive updates of road maps and system software, even if it is at home in the carport.
Skoda is known for its innovative Simply Clever solutions, and of course, there are many of them in the Enyaq Coupe iV. For example, this way, you can get a practical cable cleaner, so you can easily and quickly clean the charging cable before you put it neatly in place in a particular room under the trunk floor - wearing a unique hood to protect the plug.
The Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV electric car also has the familiar umbrella in the driver's door, while the ice scraper with built-in magnifying glass and tire tread gauge has its place in the tailgate.
"We are very much looking forward to bringing the Enyaq Coupe iV to the country. We are sure that the Europeans will receive it just as well as with Enyaq iV. The top model Enyaq Coupe iV RS is the first RS model, which is 100 percent electric, and it will be the first model variant to come; it's expected in June," says Thomas Bruun.
