Mercedes-Benz is not holding back when it comes to electrifying its lineup. The German automaker has already unveiled several models under its EQ sub-brand, including the EQS sedan, the EQC crossover, and the EQA hatchback. But the most exciting one for performance enthusiasts is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE AMG SUV, which is expected to arrive in the U.S. next year.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE AMG SUV is the high-performance version of the EQE SUV, which is based on the same platform as the Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan. The AMG model will have a more aggressive design, a sportier suspension, and a lot more power. The Hyperscreen will have OLED technology that will offer crisp graphics and responsive touch controls. The EQE AMG SUV will also have a head-up display, a surround-sound system, and a voice assistant that can recognize natural language commands.
The EQE AMG SUV will also offer high safety and driver assistance features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking. The EQE AMG SUV will also have a semi-autonomous driving mode that can handle steering, braking, and acceleration on highways and in traffic jams.
The EQE AMG SUV is expected to compete with other electric performance SUVs such as the Tesla Model X Plaid, the Audi e-tron GT RS, and the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo. The pricing for the EQE AMG SUV has not been announced yet, but it is likely to be in the six-figure range. The Mercedes-Benz EQE AMG SUV is expected to go on sale in the U.S. in late 2023 or early 2024.
