Mercedes-Benz is not holding back when it comes to electrifying its lineup. The German automaker has already unveiled several models under its EQ sub-brand, including the EQS sedan, the EQC crossover, and the EQA hatchback. But the most exciting one for performance enthusiasts is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE AMG SUV, which is expected to arrive in the U.S. next year.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE AMG SUV is the high-performance version of the EQE SUV, which is based on the same platform as the Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan. The AMG model will have a more aggressive design, a sportier suspension, and a lot more power. According to Mercedes, the EQE AMG SUV will have a dual-motor setup that will deliver over 600 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough to propel this electric beast from zero to 60 mph in less than four seconds.
But that’s not all. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE AMG will also offer an optional AMG Dynamic Plus package that will boost the output to 677 horsepower and 774 lb-ft of torque for a limited time. This will enable the EQE AMG SUV to reach a top speed of 155 mph and to complete a quarter-mile run in about 12 seconds.
The EQE AMG SUV will also have a large battery pack that will provide an estimated range of over 300 miles on a single charge. The battery can be replenished quickly using a fast-charging system that can add up to 186 miles of range in just 15 minutes. The EQE AMG SUV will also have a regenerative braking system that can recuperate up to 290 kW of energy.
