Alexander Eisl is the new Head of IT at Skoda Auto

Since October 1st, Alexander Eisl has been leading IT at Skoda Auto. He takes over for Klaus Blüm, who has worked in his new role at the Volkswagen Group since the beginning of September. Former Senior Vice President of Information Systems at MAN Truck & Bus SE, Alexander Eisl, has spent his career in the IT industry.

Professionally, Alexander Eisl started in Siemens' program and systems engineering department before overseeing the company's corporate applications, infrastructure, and security services. Then he went to work for PwC, where he constructed data-and-analytics-related platforms. Since 2016, Eisl has served in various administrative roles within the Volkswagen Group. Formerly of MAN Truck & Bus SE, where he served as Senior Vice President of Information, he is now with Skoda Auto. In this role, he was responsible for establishing MAN Digital Services and introducing agile software development practices in the Munich and Lisbon offices. In addition, he oversaw the IT framework for the marketing and sales teams across the country.

Klaus Blüm, formerly head of IT at Skoda Auto, has joined the Volkswagen Group and will serve as Head of Projects and Software reporting to Hauke Stars, Group Board Member for IT. Blüm joined the Czech automaker in March 2019 and has since led the company's digitization efforts, implementing IT solutions that have improved productivity and opened up new digital business areas. He also played an instrumental role in establishing the 42 Prague software academy and the software joint venture Green: Code. Furthermore, he considerably grew Skoda's SAP expertise center for the Volkswagen Group.

Christian Schenk, a member of the Skoda Auto board responsible for finance and information technology, has said, "I would like to thank Klaus Blüm for his exceptional commitment, which he will employ in an essential role in the Volkswagen Group in the future. He joined the office at Skoda Auto during a challenging time due to the pandemic, but he made substantial strides in our company's digitization. My regards to Klaus in his new position with the Group."
