Peugeot has opened orders for the Peugeot 208 Lumière and Peugeot 2008 Lumière, with starting prices of €24,900 and €30,800 respectively. The special series builds on Allure trim, adding GT-derived front seats, dedicated colours and useful convenience equipment. Peugeot offers the package across combustion, hybrid and electric versions.
Italian Prices and Model Differences
The €5,900 gap separates the hatchback and compact SUV's entry prices. It does not measure the cost of upgrading from Allure to Lumière. Peugeot quotes Italian turnkey prices excluding IPT, the provincial registration tax, so buyers should request a final on-road quotation.
| Specification | Peugeot 208 Lumière | Peugeot 2008 Lumière |
|---|---|---|
| Italian starting price | €24,900 | €30,800 |
| Body type | Five-door hatchback | Compact SUV |
| Overall model length | 4,055 mm | 4,304 mm |
| Model wheelbase | 2,540 mm | 2,605 mm |
| Diamond-cut alloy wheels | 16-inch NOMA | 17-inch KARAKOY |
| Exclusive no-cost colour | Alvao Green | Nazare Blue |
| Gloss-black detailing | Roof | Roof rails |
The dimensions above come from Peugeot's established model technical documentation; the Lumière announcement describes equipment changes. By comparison, the 2008 occupies 249 mm more length and adds 65 mm between the axles. That footprint gives buyers a concrete parking-space check before they choose the SUV.
Peugeot applies Black Mist paint to the two-tone wheels. Each model offers six body colours, including its dedicated launch shade. The new green and blue finishes carry no additional charge.
GT-Derived Seats and Everyday Equipment
The cabin upgrades centre on Tremezzo tri-fabric upholstery and exclusive blue-green Opalite stitching. Peugeot carries the stitching onto the door armrests and adds a matching graphic on a gloss-black front insert. Peugeot logos on the headrests and aluminium front door sills complete the package.
| Equipment | 208 Lumière | 2008 Lumière |
|---|---|---|
| Front seats | GT-derived, Tremezzo upholstery | GT-derived, Tremezzo upholstery |
| Keyless access and starting | Standard | Standard |
| High-definition rear camera | Standard | Standard |
| Specific cabin addition | Mistral Black headlining with LED lighting | Two-level modular boot floor |
The camera helps drivers judge rear clearance during parking. In addition, the 2008's adjustable boot floor lets owners change the loading arrangement to suit their luggage. The 208 adds LED illumination for the front ceiling light, rear reading lights and vanity mirrors.
Should You Choose Lumière Over Allure?
Choose Lumière if you value its seating, paint and convenience kit enough to cover the actual dealer-quoted premium. Compare the same engine and transmission in each trim. Mixing powertrains obscures the equipment's cost.
Pro-Tips:
- Request itemised Allure and Lumière quotations with identical finance terms.
- Check the exact variant's WLTP consumption, CO2 emissions or electric range.
- Price replacement tyres in the specified size before committing to either model.
Peugeot's launch release does not provide engine-specific torque, acceleration or charging figures. Ask the retailer for the current Italian technical sheet for your chosen version.
