The Honda CR-V is one of the most popular and best-selling SUVs in the US, thanks to its spacious cabin, versatile cargo area, efficient powertrain, and reliable performance. For 2024, Honda is adding a new trim level to the CR-V lineup: the Sport-L. This hybrid-only model offers more features and luxury than the Sport trim but less than the Sport Touring trim. Here’s what you need to know about the 2024 Honda CR-V Sport-L and how it compares to its competitors.
What’s New for the 2024 Honda CR-V?
The 2024 Honda CR-V is mainly unchanged from the previous model year, except for the addition of the Sport-L trim. This new trim level is available only with the hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors that produce a combined 204 horsepower. The Sport-L trim comes standard with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is optional for an extra $1,500.
The Sport-L trim offers more features and comfort than the Sport-trim, which is hybrid-only. Some of the highlights include:
- Leather seats
- Power passenger seat
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Power tailgate
- Wireless charging pad
- Satellite Radio
- Driver’s seat memory
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Eight-speaker audio system
The Sport-L trim also has sporty styling elements, such as a gloss-black grille, 18-inch gloss-black alloy wheels, and dual chrome exhaust finishers. However, it does not have some of the features that the Sport Touring trim offers, such as:
- 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels
- Hands-free access power tailgate
- Bose 12-speaker audio system
- Heated steering wheel
- Heated rear seats
- Rain-sensing windshield wipers
- LED fog lights
- Panoramic roof
The Sport-L trim has a starting price of $37,645, which is $3,000 more than the Sport trim and $1,855 less than the Sport Touring trim. The Sport-L trim is also more expensive than the non-hybrid EX-L trim, which starts at $34,295 and has similar features.
