The Fiat 500e: A New Icon of Sustainable Mobility for North America

Fiat 500e

The Fiat 500e is not just a car. It’s a statement of style, fun, and sustainability. It’s a tribute to the iconic Fiat 500, which has been part of the American dream since 1957. It’s a commitment to electrifying the future of mobility, with zero emissions, zero compromise, and zero regrets.

The Fiat 500e is coming to North America in early 2024, as the first battery-electric vehicle (BEV) offering from Stellantis, the new name of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The new 500e will be revealed at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show and will be available in select markets in Q1 of 2024.

The new 500e is more than just an electric version of the classic two-door city car. It’s a whole new experience, with a sleek design, a spacious interior, and a range of features that make it stand out from the crowd.

A New Design for a New Era

The new Fiat 500e preserves the essence of the original Fiat 500 but adds a modern twist with a distinctive front grille, LED headlights and taillights, and a low roofline. The body is made of high-strength steel and aluminum, making it lighter and more aerodynamic than ever.

The interior is equally stylish and comfortable, with premium materials such as leather seats, wood trim, and metal accents. The dashboard features an intuitive Uconnect 5 system with an 8-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The steering wheel has paddle shifters for manual control of the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The new 500e also offers plenty of space for passengers and cargo. The rear seats can fold down to create up to 36 cubic feet of storage space. The trunk has a capacity of 12 cubic feet behind the rear seats and up to 33 cubic feet with them folded down.

A Fun Drive with Zero Emissions

The new 500e delivers pure driving pleasure with its agile handling, responsive steering, and smooth ride quality. It can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just seven seconds and reach a top speed of over 100 mph.

The new 500e also boasts impressive performance on electric power alone. It has an estimated range of up to 149 miles on a single charge (240 kilometers), which can be extended by using fast-charge stations or home L2 Wallbox chargers that are included with the purchase.

The new 500e also features advanced technology that enhances safety and convenience. It has adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, parking sensors, rearview camera, keyless entry and start system.

A Sustainable Choice for the Planet

The new 500e is not only good for you but also good for the planet. It emits no tailpipe emissions or greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change. It also reduces noise pollution by using sound insulation materials inside the cabin.

The new 500e is part of Stellantis’ Dare Forward plan to achieve carbon neutrality by mid-century across its global operations. Stellantis aims to sell at least half of its BEVs in North America by then.

A Social Project for America

The new Fiat brand is not only about cars but also about people. It’s about celebrating diversity, creativity, and culture through its products and services.

That’s why Stellantis has partnered with three renowned Italian fashion brands - Armani, Kartell, and Bvlgari - to create three exclusive one-off concepts based on the Fiat brand identity: Armani Edition, Kartell Edition, and Bvlgari Edition. These one-offs are designed by some of Italy’s most influential designers who have collaborated with Stellantis on previous projects such as Ferrari, Maserati, Jeep, and Alfa Romeo.

These one-offs are not only beautiful but also meaningful: they reflect Italian craftsmanship, innovation, and sophistication. They embody three souls: sustainable design, sustainable fashion, and sustainable luxury. They are symbols of “Made in Italy” around the world.

These one-offs will be displayed at various events throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. They will also be auctioned off online or at selected dealerships . All proceeds will go towards supporting social causes such as education, health care, and environmental protection .

A Comparison Table
