Audi did not rewrite the Audi Q4 e-tron playbook. It repaired the areas daily EV buyers use most: range, cabin logic, charging speed, energy output and assisted driving. The result gives Audi's compact electric SUV a sharper case in Europe's crowded premium EV class.
The updated Q4 e-tron brings up to 592 km of WLTP range in Q4 Sportback e-tron performance trim, up to 185 kW DC charging on the strongest quattro variants and Audi's first bidirectional charging setup.

The Audi Q4 e-tron focuses on utility, not theatre. It adds a redesigned cabin, the new Digital Stage layout, improved drive hardware and wider driver-assistance coverage.
The SUV measures 4,588 mm long, 1,865 mm wide and 1,632 mm high, equal to 180.6 in, 73.4 in and 64.3 in. Its 2,764 mm wheelbase supports adult rear legroom and a 520 litre boot, rising to 1,490 litres.

The Engineering Logic: Efficiency Before Drama

Audi offers two gross battery sizes: 63 kWh with 59 kWh net capacity and 82 kWh with 77 kWh net capacity. The strongest 82 kWh quattro performance versions now accept up to 185 kW DC, allowing a 10-80 percent charge in about 27 minutes. Audi also says those versions can add up to 185 km in 10 minutes when conditions suit.

The cabin now centres around the Digital Stage, pairing an 11.9 inch instrument cluster with a 12.8 inch MMI touch display. Buyers can add a 12 inch passenger display, while the optional augmented-reality head-up display projects guidance across a field of view equivalent to roughly 70 inches. By comparison, that counts more than screen quantity because it places navigation prompts near the driver's sightline.

The Audi Q4 e-tron becomes Audi's first model with bidirectional capability. V2L provides 2.3 kW from a domestic socket in the boot, 2.3 kW through an adapter at the charging port or 3.6 kW through a camping socket. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, V2H allows the battery to support a household through a compatible DC wallbox, with discharge controlled between 20 and 80 percent state of charge.
Should You Choose The 2026 Audi Q4 e-tron?
From an expert perspective, the sweet spot sits with the rear-drive Q4 e-tron performance if you want the longest range and the best efficiency. Choose quattro performance only when traction, towing needs or faster acceleration outweigh the range penalty. The base car fits urban duty, but the larger battery gives the Q4 its strongest long-distance case.
