What's New in the 2024 Skoda Kamiq?

Exterior Design

The 2024 Skoda Kamiq features a more rugged and dynamic appearance than the outgoing model, thanks to a larger and more upright grille, slimmer headlights, and new bumpers. The headlights are now available with matrix LED technology, which can adjust the beam to avoid dazzling other drivers. The rear bumper has a chunkier design, while the taillights have a new L-shaped signature. The Skoda lettering on the tailgate has also been updated with a slimmer and more angular font.

The 2024 Skoda Kamiq offers nine paint colors to choose from, as well as new 17- and 18-inch alloy wheel designs. The Monte Carlo trim adds a gloss black finish for the grille, mirror caps, side skirts, roof rails, badges, and rear diffuser, as well as unique black and silver wheels and more advanced headlights as standard.

Interior Design

The interior of the 2024 Skoda Kamiq has also been revised, with new color and trim combinations, chrome, black or copper accents, and sport seats on high-end models. The cabin features recycled fabrics and natural materials such as hemp and kenaf for the upholstery, headlining, and other parts. Skoda claims that these materials reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional materials.

The 2024 Skoda Kamiq has an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.25-inch central infotainment screen as standard. Both of these can be upgraded to a 10.25-inch display and a 9.2-inch unit, respectively. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as online services such as traffic information, weather updates, and parking availability. The climate control panel has also been redesigned with touch-sensitive buttons.

The 2024 Skoda Kamiq offers plenty of room for passengers and cargo thanks to its generous wheelbase of 2.65 meters (8.7 feet). The rear legroom is 73 mm (2.9 inches) more than in the Volkswagen T-Roc, while the boot capacity is 400 liters (14.1 cubic feet), which can be expanded to 1,395 liters (49.3 cubic feet) by folding the rear seats.

Engine Options

The 2024 Skoda Kamiq is powered by three petrol engines from the evo2 generation, which are more efficient and cleaner than before. The base engine is a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged unit that produces 94 horsepower and comes with a five-speed manual gearbox. The next option is a more powerful version of the same engine that delivers 109 horsepower and can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The top engine is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit that makes 148 horsepower and comes exclusively with the automatic transmission.

All engines are front-wheel drive only, as Skoda does not offer an all-wheel drive option for the Kamiq. However, the Sport Chassis Control system can lower the ride height by 10 mm (0.4 inches) and adjust the suspension stiffness according to the driving mode selected.
