Renault has been designing, developing, engineering, manufacturing, and selling EVs for over ten years, and there are now more than 450,000 pure electric vehicles on the road around the world. In the first half of 2022, 36 percent of all cars sold on the continent were from Renault's E-TECH line.
Renault's E-TECH lineup, which includes both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, was recently introduced to markets in Latin America, bringing the company's history and expertise. Renault has announced that the Megane E-TECH Electric, the Master E-TECH Electric, and the Kangoo E-TECH Electric will be available in Latin America in the first half of 2023, joining the Kwid E-TECH Electric that was unveiled in April 2022.
The new Renault Kwid E-TECH Electric went on sale for pre-order in Brazil last April, and it quickly sold out. The initial production run of 750 units sold out in under two months. Ibirapuera Park is where the first of these vehicles have been delivered to their owners.
The Renault Kwid E-TECH Electric is an all-electric vehicle that will soon be available throughout Brazil and the rest of Latin America. The brand operates the largest EV distribution network in Brazil, providing access to global expertise in electric mobility.
As of late, an agreement for the subscription of 200 Kwid E-TECH Electric via Mobilize Financial Services was announced between Mobilize, the Renault Group brand dedicated to new mobilities, and Zarp Localiza, a subsidiary of the Brazilian rental leader Localiza, specializing in ride-hailing. So Paulo Uber drivers will be offered these vehicles to use. Drivers can reserve charging stations through the Mobilize Charge Pass App, among other services.
Through its subsidiaries, Mobilize Financial Services has been present in Latin American markets for over 20 years. The new mobility brand wants to grow its regional presence by adding more Vehicle-as-a-Service options. It will start with technological dispatch solutions and rental services.
The new Megane E-TECH Electric is just one more way Renault leads the charge toward a more sustainable future. This new hatchback combines fully electric performance with all-around road ability in a stylish package. In Europe, over 30,000 Megane E-TECH Electrics have been pre-ordered.
The new Renault Megane E-Tech Electric is the forerunner of the fundamentally electric design language that will give the new model its elegant yet powerful character thanks to its use of the CMF-EV platform designed for all-electric vehicles. The interior sets a new standard for spaciousness, and the updated ergonomics make it a pleasure to ride in.
More than 70,000 Renault Kangoo ZEs have been sold since its initial public release ten years ago, solidifying the company's position as a global leader in the electric commercial vehicle market. This is 36 years after the first all-electric Master prototype was built.
Renault is updating all of its electric LCVs, starting with the new Renault Kangoo Van E-TECH Electric and the Renault Master E-TECH Electric with 52 kWh, to make them more flexible and independent.
The Renault Master E-TECH electric will come in two different body styles: the Last Mile Van and the Minibus. Both will have a payload space of up to 13 m3 and a range of 200 km.
