Alfa Romeo has registered the highest market share in the last 3 years

Alfa Romeo Tonale

Alfa Romeo had a great year in 2022 in terms of numbers and quality. All of the leading indicators showed an upward trend. Starting with sales, the last quarter of the year ended with a 1.4% market share, the best in the previous three years. This makes Alfa Romeo the premium brand that grows the most year over year, with over 3,000 more registrations or +27% compared to 2021. Even more critical results if put into a market that is becoming more competitive and a sector that has been shrinking overall. Alfa Romeo is ready to face 2023 with the range of Tonale cars, the new Giulia, and the Stelvio. Besides. On his side, he has very high standards for both product quality and the buying experience, including services after the sale.

"Alfa Romeo's path of change is solidified by the success of the 2022 model in the marketplace. It's the result of great teamwork at every level, and we're going to build on it for an even bigger and better 2023."

The most crucial character in 2022, Alfa Romeo's first electric compact SUV, the Tonale, ended a record-breaking year in 2022 with a record order book. This means that the brand can look ahead to 2023 with the highest ambitions in the segment, thanks in part to the addition of the 280hp Q4 Plug-In Hybrid versions, which made the range complete.

Alfa Romeo Tonale is also doing well in the business market. This is because, in addition to the popular 130 and 160 HP Hybrid versions, the 130 HP 1.6 diesel engine with the new dual-clutch automatic transmission and six-speed TCT has been added. This makes driving the car more dynamic and fun while lowering fuel consumption. A range that is now complete and can meet all the needs of fleet managers. It also has the unique appeal of the brand's long history.

The new Plug-In Hybrid Q4 completes the launch of the Tonale range. The Alfa Romeo Tonale was the model with which the brand entered the world of electrification while keeping its DNA, which has been an expression of noble Italian sportiness since 1910. The new version, which will be available in Italian dealerships in January, is the top of the line and starts a new chapter in the Alfa Romeo Metamorphosis. The Alfa Romeo Tonale combines efficiency and sportiness at the highest levels: over 80 km in the city cycle, 600 km total range, and emissions down to 26g/km.

The ride is also the best in its class, and the technology and connectivity inside the car make it the most advanced Alfa Romeo ever made. The goal is to rethink what it means to be sporty in the 21st century by combining quality, attention to detail, and movement. So, the Alfa Romeo Tonale Plug-In Hybrid Q4 is an essential step on Alfa Romeo's "zero to zero" journey, which will lead it to become a zero-emission brand in 2027, when all of its models will be 100% electric. Not only that, but all of this change has happened in just five years. This makes Alfa Romeo the fastest car company to reach carbon neutrality.

Alongside Alfa Romeo Tonale are the seductive Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia, which both the general public and the B2B sector continue to love. In particular, Stelvio keeps its lead in the D-SUV segment for the fourth year in a row. It has a 16.2% market share, which is close to 20% in the premium sector, and will grow even more by 2021. Giulia also keeps its lead in the D segment among non-hybrid sedans.

With the new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio release in February, which can be seen in Italian Alfa Romeo showrooms, 2023 looks like it will be a great year. Both cars have a new front with Full-LED Adaptive Matrix headlights, which makes them look like they belong to the same family, and a new fully digital instrument panel. These features show how the style and technology of the two award-winning models have changed.

The quality of a premium brand like Alfa Romeo is judged by the products and how happy customers are with them. According to an internal customer satisfaction survey, buying a new car was rated above 96 out of 100 points, and after-sales services were rated above 90 points. These great results confirm Alfa Romeo as a premium reference brand. Alfa Romeo is also improving at managing its sales channels and cutting down on its stock, moving the company closer to a "make-to-order" model.

Alfa Romeo opened a new flagship store in Milan, Italy, in June. This was to celebrate the launch of the Alfa Romeo Tonale in the main European markets. It is the first showroom in the world to use the new brand Identity. It is a sensory experience where you can learn about the company's founding values and vision for the future. The atmosphere you breathe is essential and technological. It was made by using materials with different textures. By 2023, the "evocative" format will be used in other national and European showrooms to offer a "customer experience" that is both engaging and high-end.
