Mercedes-AMG, the performance division of the German luxury automaker, has unveiled a new special model for its A 45 S 4MATIC+ hatchback, the most powerful compact car in the world. The Limited Edition features a striking exterior design, exclusive equipment, and a hefty price tag.
The Eye-Catching Exterior
The first thing that catches the eye of the Limited Edition is the AMG Green Hell Magno paint, a matte green shade previously reserved for the AMG GT R sports car. The name refers to the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the legendary racetrack where Mercedes-AMG tests its vehicles. The green paint contrasts with the yellow accents on the front splitter, the side skirts, the rear diffuser, and the wheels. The 19-inch AMG forged wheels have a cross-spoke design and a Limited Edition logo. The black body graphics, including a large AMG logo on the hood, complete the aggressive look.
The Rich Equipment
The Limited Edition comes with a lot of extra equipment that normally costs an additional $15,000. It includes the AMG Night Package I and II, which adds dark chrome and black elements to the grille, the mirror caps, the window frames, the exhaust tips, and the roof rails. It also includes the AMG Aerodynamics Package, which adds a larger front splitter, additional flics on the front bumper, a modified rear apron, and a prominent rear wing. The aerodynamic package improves the stability and handling of the car at high speeds.
Inside, the Limited Edition features a black and yellow theme, with AMG Performance seats in synthetic leather and microfiber, yellow stitching, and 45 S logos on the headrests. The AMG Performance steering wheel is also wrapped in microfiber and has yellow contrast stitching and a yellow 12 o’clock marking. The AMG floor mats and the AMG door sills also have yellow accents and 45 S logos. The interior is equipped with the latest technology, such as the MBUX infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, the AMG Track Pace app, which records and analyzes the driving performance on the racetrack, and the AMG Real Performance Sound, which enhances the sound of the engine in the cabin.
