The 2027 Alfa Romeo Junior targets the surfaces drivers touch every day. Alfa Romeo introduces softer door trim, revised dashboard coverings and more distinct upholstery combinations, alongside additional equipment and wheel designs. Buyers retain hybrid and electric powertrain choices.
Interior Upgrades Separate the Trims
New door panels combine soft-touch upholstery with contrast stitching. Alfa Romeo also revises the dashboard and centre tunnel, extending the material changes beyond the seats.
The Icona interior pairs restrained grey detailing with black fabric, while Carbon interior introduces red accents and Microcloud coverings. Carbon names an upholstery theme; it does not identify carbon-fibre construction.
| Interior | Versions or availability | Seats and surrounding trim |
|---|---|---|
| Icona | Junior and Sprint in the international range | Black fabric, grey stitching; black Scuba dashboard, tunnel and doors |
| Carbon | Standard on Ti and Veloce | Black Scuba and electro-welded fabric, red accents; Microcloud coverings |
| Sabelt Alcantara | Optional on Ti and Veloce in Germany | Sports seats; Alcantara extends across cabin trim |
| Luna Rossa | Dedicated edition | Black Scuba and grey 3D Knit fabric; branded backrests |
Equipment Adds Everyday Utility
Germany's announcement lists TomTom 3D navigation with over-the-air updates, a 180-degree reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and wireless phone charging among the expanded standard equipment. Front, rear and side parking sensors support manoeuvres around tight urban spaces.
In addition, the international Ti specification adds heated front seats and a six-way electric driver's seat with lumbar adjustment and massage. Check national specifications before ordering: trim names alone cannot confirm identical equipment across Europe.
Four Powertrains, Different Running Costs
The Junior Ibrida integrates its electric motor into a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Ibrida Q4 adds a rear electric motor for all-wheel drive, giving buyers another traction option without moving to the performance-focused Veloce.
| Powertrain | Output | Driven wheels | Combined WLTP consumption | WLTP CO2 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ibrida | 107 kW / 145 PS | Front | 4.5-5.5 L/100 km | 102-125 g/km |
| Ibrida Q4 | 145 PS | All four | 4.8-5.8 L/100 km | 109-131 g/km |
| Elettrica | 115 kW / 156 PS | Front | 14.2-16.7 kWh/100 km | 0 g/km |
| Veloce | 207 kW / 280 PS | Front | 17.5-19.0 kWh/100 km | 0 g/km |
These electric CO2 figures describe tailpipe emissions, not electricity generation. Actual consumption also changes with weather, speed and vehicle configuration.
The Junior Veloce retains its 25 mm lower suspension, 20-inch wheels and Torsen limited-slip differential. That differential distributes torque between the front wheels according to grip, reducing understeer under acceleration. This hardware predates the cabin update.
Which Upgrades Should You Choose?
Prioritise seat fit and daily equipment before wheel diameter. Alfa Romeo adds four-hole 19-inch alloy wheels with 225/45 R19 tyres and offers seven wheel designs spanning 17-20 inches.
