With the interior design of the following fully electric SUV type Volvo EX90, Volvo gives new meaning to words like luxury and well-being. Volvo's designers have created a contemporary, beautiful, comfortable interior while remaining true to Volvo's principles. It has evolved into an interior design that embodies the defining characteristics of Scandinavian design: simplicity, well-being, and naturalness.
The automobile business is undergoing a paradigm transition. Old characteristics such as hp and acceleration have given way to charging time and range. Volvo will lead the way in automotive design and redefine luxury with the new EX90 electric SUV. Bling is not luxury for Volvo, and the scent of new leather is no longer the main indicator of a luxurious interior.
"We chose materials based on our ideals; therefore, we're foregoing old-fashioned automotive luxury in favor of expressing our Scandinavian point of view. With the Volvo EX90, we begin with the customer's comfort, " Senior Design Manager Cecilia Stark explains.
As a result, the car's interior is one of the most comfortable and elegant on the market. The design symbolizes Volvo's goal of being a fully circular and climate-neutral company by 2040.
Inside the Volvo EX90, you'll find Nordico, a revolutionary material by Volvo. Nordico is a technologically advanced material composed of fabrics derived from recycled materials such as PET bottles and biomaterials derived from ethically managed forests in Sweden and Finland.
FSC-certified wood panels wrap the exterior of the cabin. They are tastefully backlit with warm light, creating a Scandinavian living room ambiance and evoking the Nordic wilderness.
A wool blend seat finish is also offered for the Volvo EX90. It is a material that has been verified to meet stringent sustainability standards for animal welfare and environmental and social concerns.
The future all-electric SUV features more recycled polymers to use fewer scarce primary resources. Aside from the recycled PET bottles, the Volvo EX90 electric SUV is made from about 50 kg of recycled plastic and bio-based elements. This is the most significant amount of non-primary, fossil-based materials ever used in Volvo manufacture, and it sets a new standard for the future.
The Volvo EX90 also allows you to customize the inside and outside of the vehicle. One can select from seven different "rooms" that match the inside design and upholstery to the exterior hues.
Our designers created the rooms, and each one has a distinct personality and offers a distinctive ambiance. They are influenced by parts of Scandinavian culture and the Scandinavians' symbiotic relationship with nature.
"Volvo EX90 interior design follows decades of development and innovation. We view interior design as a learning process that will continue in the future based on client input, corporate innovation, and new, responsible purchasing possibilities ".
On November 9, the new Volvo EX90 all-electric SUV will be presented.
