The new Opel Grandland GSe and Opel Astra GSe, both with five doors, will shortly hit the market. Both models' top-tier iterations provide jaw-dropping performance, pinpoint suspension, and a locally emission-free, electrified plug-in hybrid powertrain that sporty-yet-responsible drivers have come to anticipate. The design is just as exciting. Both the Astra GSe and Grandland GSe, part of the new dynamic sub-brand, have unique GSe front bumpers and rear diffusers, as well as special 18-inch (Opel Astra) and 19-inch (Opel Grandland) wheels. The GSe's performance front seats are designed to bring the occupants closer to the car. An array of cutting-edge driver aid systems are also standard.
The new Opel Grandland GSe will be available for preorder in February at a starting price of $58,000; preorders for the new Opel Astra GSe will open a little later at a starting price of $47,000. (all prices are suggested retail prices, including VAT).

The new Opel Astra GSe is one of the most powerful vehicles in its class, with a total system output of 165 kW/225 hp (the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine produces 133 kW/180 hp, and the electric motor develops to 81.2 kW/110 hp). With those specs, you can rest assured that you'll have a sports car's acceleration and top speed. The sporty hatchback's top speed is 235 km/h (135 km/h in electric mode), and it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. According to the WLTP 1 cycle, the Astra GSe's 12.4 kWh lithium-ion battery allows for up to 64 kilometers of local zero-emissions driving.
New GSe-branded components offer a breakthrough in chassis integration and feedback. When it comes to the Opel Astra lineup, the GSe variants are the most agile and accurate of the bunch. A ten-millimeter drop in ride height was achieved by adjusting the suspension. Direct control of the vehicle's steering, suspension, and braking systems is achieved. KONI's Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) technology allows for situationally appropriate changing damping characteristics, resulting in precise handling without sacrificing comfort.
The brand-new Opel Grandland GSe falls under this category as well. More performance goals have been set for the sporty SUV. An electric motor powers each wheel of the Grandland GSemotor in addition to the vehicle's 1.6-liter turbocharged engine's 147 kW/200 horsepower. To a maximum of 81.2 kW (110 hp), the front axle electric motor and 83 kW (113 hp), the rear axle electric motor can generate power. As a result, the system produces a combined 221 kW (or 300 horsepower). The Grandland GSe is a fun-to-drive SUV thanks to its plug-in hybrid powertrain, which enables the permanent electric all-wheel drive to deliver class-leading grip, responsiveness, and handling off the line. With a 0-100 km/h time of 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 235 km/h (135 km/h in electric mode), the Opel Grandland GSe is just as quick as the Opel Astra GSe. With its 14.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Grandland GSe can go up to 63 kilometers on local roads without producing any emissions, as measured by the WLTP standard.
