Dacia Spring Extreme: The Affordable Electric Car That Outperforms The Sun

Dacia Spring Extreme: The Affordable Electric Car That Outperforms The Sun

Electric vehicles are becoming more popular every year, thanks to their environmental and economic benefits. They can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, lower fuel costs, improve fuel economy, and offer a quieter and smoother driving experience. However, many people are still hesitant to buy electric vehicles because of their higher upfront costs and limited range.

That’s why the Dacia Spring Extreme is a game-changer. This is the new and improved version of the Dacia Spring, the cheapest and best-selling electric car in Europe, which was launched in 2021. The Dacia Spring Extreme debuted at the 2023 Brussels Motor Show and impressed everyone with its powerful motor, versatile design, and impressive range.

The Dacia Spring Extreme features a new Electric 65 motor that delivers 48 kilowatts (64 horsepower), a 45% increase over the standard Dacia Spring’s 33-kW (44-hp) motor. This means the Spring Extreme can accelerate faster and recover more energy than the previous Dacia Spring model. The battery capacity remains the same at 26.8 kWh, which allows for a range of 220 kilometers (136 miles) in the WLTP combined cycle and 305 kilometers (189 miles) in the WLTP City cycle.

The Dacia Spring Extreme also boasts a more rugged and adventurous design, with exclusive elements such as a new Slate Blue color, Copper Brown accents on the roof rails, mirror caps, wheel hubs, front bumper trim and rear Dacia lettering, and striping with a topographic design on the doors. The interior is also enhanced with Copper Brown details, embossed Dacia logo on the front seats, topographic patterns on the door sills, and topographic print on the front rubber floor mats. The Spring Extreme also comes with a standard 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and reversing camera.

The Dacia Spring Extreme is not only affordable but also eco-friendly. According to Dacia, the Spring Extreme emits 0 grams of CO2 per kilometer and consumes only 11.9 kWh/100 km in the WLTP combined cycle. That means that the Spring Extreme can outperform the sun in terms of energy efficiency, as the sun emits about 4 grams of CO2 per kilometer and consumes about 1.4 x 10^17 kWh/100 km.

The Dacia Spring Extreme is available to order in France from January 17, with prices starting at €22,300 ($24,180) – before subsidies and other market-specific incentives. That makes it €1,500 ($1,625) more expensive than the base Spring Essential powered by the 44-hp motor. Deliveries in France and other European markets will start before the summer.

The Dacia Spring Extreme is a great option for anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of electric mobility without breaking the bank. With its powerful motor, spacious interior, versatile design and impressive range, the Spring Extreme is ready to take you on any adventure you can imagine. @via Dacia.
