SKODA DigiLab's HoppyGo carsharing platform had its most successful regular season yet. From July through October, sales were up 25% over the same time last year. As a result, the average amount of money made by private customers who made their vehicles available on HoppyGo also set a new record at 844 euros. Presently, there are over 180 thousand active members on the platform. Twenty thousand people in the Czech Republic, five thousand in Poland, and three thousand in Slovakia have signed up as new members since January of this year. From July through October, the average rental is for 4.8 days.
As HoppyGo's CEO, Robin Svaek, puts it: "There has been no letup in HoppyGo's impressive growth." The number of people using our service has increased, as has the average income of car owners. It has been evident over the past few months that our carsharing platform is gaining traction. Our members are using the cars for more than just work; they're also taking more and more road trips for fun. HoppyGo allows you to rent the vehicle you need whenever you want it.
The growth of HoppyGo since last year is staggering. The months of July through October are HoppyGo's busiest time of year, with record-breaking sales of 25 percent more than the same period last year. Increases in rental volume and income of 38% year-over-year contributed to October's total of 1,000 rental units, a 22% increase over the same month in 2017. If you're looking for a fully electric car, the SKODA ENYAQ iV is at the top of the list, while the SKODA FABIA is one of the most popular choices among HoppyGo's fleet.
Central and Eastern Europeans are big fans of carpooling. HoppyGo has over 180,000 users in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia, thanks to its peer-to-peer car-sharing service. About 20,000 new users have signed up in the Czech Republic since the beginning of the year, 5,500 new users have signed up in Poland, and 3,300 new users have signed up in Slovakia. Customer satisfaction with the available automobiles is at 4.96 out of a possible 5 points, and the satisfaction of rental companies with their customers is also somewhat reasonable.
Quick sign-ups, simple car purchases, and road tests
Since 2018, the HoppyGo platform has facilitated transactions between vehicle owners and renters. After signing up, all that's left to do is validate the information saved, and then reservations may be made through the app or website. HoppyGo users may take out vehicles like the SKODA ENYAQ iV for a four-day test drive courtesy of SKODA AUTO. HoppyGo isn't the only service the SKODA AUTO DigiLab has created; they also made the e-scooter-sharing service BeRider, the student-focused carsharing service Uniqway, the fleet-focused carsharing platform KLIQ, and the mobility app Citymove.
